Alpine Electronics, the industry-leading manufacturer of high performance mobile electronics, introduced its 2002 Type-R speakers and subwoofers, featuring stylish, unified cosmetics and major engineering innovations for ultra-clear, ultra-loud performance with pounding bass. Alpine's 2002 Type-R speakers feature a new high excursion motor design with an extra large woofer magnet and vented pole piece for deep bass performance with long throw. All Type-R component and coaxial speakers feature one-inch tweeters that swivel 15°, 12dB crossover with tweeter protection, aluminum-coated poly cones, and extra-large rubber surrounds, which minimize resonance problems and dramatically increase low bass.
