The worst experience I have ever had, Very Dishonest
I purchased an amplifier for a Christmas present on December 1st 2006. They offered free shipping with your PAY Pal payment. The price was the best on the web, and although their ratings were very poor I decided to give it a shot. The web site stated the product was in stock and usually ships within 2 days. I thought there was plenty of time and didn't start to worry until the middle of the month. When I contacted their customer service department a recording told me that due to very high call volume, there was going to be a very long wait but I could e-mail customer service. Remembering the reviews and the lack of e-mail responses I decided to wait. After waiting almost 20 minutes I was told the amplifier was out of stock but I could purchase another one at almost twice the price. I checked their website while on the phone and noticed it was still listed as in stock. When I questioned them they put me on hold, and after waiting another 5 minutes they said it was not in stock but they were expecting another shipment on Monday. If I wanted to wait until Monday December 18 it would ship immediately. But if I wanted it by Christmas I should purchase the more expensive one. I called again on December 20th to make sure it had shipped as promised, after waiting 20 minutes again they said they did receive the shipment, although it had not shipped yet it would very soon. I called on December 22 as the product still was listed as in stock, and was told it was in stock and would ship within 2 days. When I mentioned I had been waiting since December 1st they put me on hold and the phone went dead. I then decided to file a complaint with the BBB Better Business Bureau. ETRONICS information was very hard to find on their website so I listed it below to help others. They have the best prices but as others have stated it's not worth it. Buy from others that aren't a scam. I did receive my money back but will never waste my time with them again. Their ratings are much higher than they should be due to their ease of ordering and website. PS I guess I'm old enough to know better, that when something looks too good to be true it usually is.
