Defective products with Defective Customer Support.

I've had 2 experiences with eCost; both were really bad (I guess I'm a slow learner). In summary, eCost sucks! (put "eCost sucks" in Google and see how many hits you get; this should be a warning).

Most recently, I ordered an 8 GB SD card which arrived dead. I've made multiple calls to eCost customer service, and they’ve made multiple promises over a period of several days to send information and prepaid shipping instructions to return the dead card but have never done so. I’ve discussed their continuing total lack of response with multiple customer service reps, and they never acknowledge the problem nor do anything about it. Meanwhile, they convinced me to order a replacement (that is, pay a second time while they got me return information and I actually returned the defective card). I became so frustrated at their continuing customer service failures that I decided to cancel this order before it shipped.

That's when I discovered they have an "all sales are final" policy and refused to cancel the order and stop shipment to me.

In my earlier experience with them, I failed to get ANY rebates from any of the items I purchased. Customer Service at eCost was not willing to help me get the rebates in any manner.

Do not purchase ANYTHING from eCost. As I said before, eCost sucks!
