Worst E-Store so far on my experience

Bought a Highchair for my daughter and never got a tracking number and when I called 3 weeks after my purchase they had no record what so ever on why my product hadn't been shipped.
I had to call the manufacturer directly (which only took me 2 minutes) to find out what they couldn't solve in 4 days Won't use this store anymore! |

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about buying baby products from an online retailer. However, I was highly impressed with the ease of ordering. My item was shipping promptly for a small shipping fee and my niece loved her new toy. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

COMPLETE JOKE OF A COMPANY!!! We ordered car seats for our sons and were sent the wrong color. I have spent a good portion of the afternoon on the phone trying to get someone in customer service that is non existent. They tell you to dial an extension but don't tell you the extensions or give you them in the order. After spending a couple of hours trying to get a hold of the returns department, I accidently dialed the number only to be told it was closed and to call back during normal business hours. WTF!!! I would rather get a vestectomy without anesteshia then deal with this company again.

I was shopping for a crib for my first grandchild. I am unbelievably happy I decided on the Soho 5-in-1 Convertible Crib at BabyAge.com. It can evolve from an infant crib to a toddler bed to a full size bed, so it will be useful for years and years. The color matches perfectly and it was easy to assemble. I also bought the infant mattress and bedding on this website and I'm pleased with the rapid shipping of everything. BabyAge is a definite time-saver.

I am very satisfied with the reliability of babyage.com. When I found out my wife was pregnant with our first child and I wanted to surprise her by buying all the pregnancy essentials. I did much research and comparisons that lead me to find babyage.com. I purchased a pregnancy body pillow, prenatal heart listener, and bassinet, and was shocked when all three products arrived within days! The $9.99 flat shipping rate makes the total price affordable. She was very pleased with the products and decided to do her baby shower registry at babyage.com. We are definitely loyal babyage shoppers.

I ordered an outdoor playhouse for my daughter 5 days before her birthday. I did not expect to receive it on time, but to my surprise it arrived in 2 days! Shipping charges included, babyage offered the lowest price compared to other websites. It was very easy to assemble, I was capable of actually doing it myself. Would definitely recommend shopping at babyage.

I purchased bedding at BabyAge.com and during my online purchase I saw now wording about the 50% restocking fee that only applies to bedding. Their returns section has a 30 day satisfaction guaranteed paragraph and it isn't until the last sentence two paragraphs later that it mentions that there is a 50% restocking fee on bedding. I had to call to get a return authorization and no one told me about the restocking fee at that time. I am guessing this is where they make their money. I don't typically check web sites for these clauses but I guess I will start. I would have kept the item and sold it on eBay for what I paid for it or for a small loss but not the 50% restocking fee. Don't buy from BabyAge.

Horrible customer service. The package arrived damaged and with missing parts. Babyage REFUSED to provide the missing parts. Instead they told me if I have any issues, they don't want to hear them. Instead they sloughed me off and told me to contact the manufacturer. How about standing behind what you sell?

I received a gift from my Amazon baby registry from BabyAge. I later learned that the product contained some potential toxins. Even though it was past the 30 day window for returns, I contacted BabyAge's customer service and asked them to make an exception, given that my product was unopened. They refused to do so. When I asked to speak to a manager, it took over a month for them to get back to me and when they did, they again refused my request without even allowing me to speak to a manager. Many stores who will make reasonable exceptions to their return policies, particularly when it comes to baby products that are often purchased months in advance off of gift registries. At a minimum, they should have let me plead my case to a supervisor. My advice -- go elsewhere.

I ordered a stroller from babyage.com March 5th, 2009. Today is April 2, 2009. Babyage put the wrong province and postal code on the package for delivery with UPS. I called babyage to notify them when I tracked the stroller to find out why it had not arrived yet. Babyage was friendly, apologetic and said they would send out a new stroller. This is April 2nd and babyage STILL has not shipped the stoller to me. The customer service department is now "short" with me on the phone and can offer no explanation as to why the stroller still hasn't been shipped. I am only told that "a manager is working on it". When I ask to speak with a manager I am told the manager just stepped into a meeting. I have been told at least 4 times that someone would call me back, nobody ever has. PLEASE don't shop at babyage. The true colours of a company are how they handle things when things go wrong, and babyage is failing.

Ordered a Schwinn bike on 12/10 with a promise of a delivery within 5-7 business days. Received a message from their customer service manager stating that all orders prior to 12/17 had been shipped and that Schwinn allegedlly had "expedited" shipping. Found out through UPS that it hadn't shipped until the 19th with an estimated delivery date of 12/30. Called their customer service number only to have them re-state the same information I could get from the UPS website, *then* transfer me to another number where the office was closed Christmas Eve. Absolutely clueless and unhelpful.
They apparently have a long track record of customer service blunders so my bad for not having checked more thoroughly. Vote with your dollars and put these guys out of business since there are a number of reputable folks who are getting squeezed by the economy. |

They charged my credit card for a item they did not have. I sat on hold for 35 minutes and they told me they would pass the information along not knowing how long it would take to put credit back on my card. They should of never charged my card until they shipped item. Then I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone trying to find this item for my son for Christmas and finally found it paying 30.00 more for it. Very annoyed and disappointed.
