I was checking the Zales.com for dad's day gift for my husband. They had a Seiko watch that I liked, the dial color of the watch was described as blue in the title and black in the detailed description. Since the color of the dial didn't matter to me, I decided to buy it. The watch was still in stock, and I purchased it along with an earring that I liked. I received an order confirmation e-mail, and I also saw that my credit card had the same amount of funds reserved almost immediately. This happened on Sunday, a week before dad's day of 2006. On Monday I received no communication from Zales so I assumed everything is alright, as both items were still being shown in stock. On Tuesday morning, I received an email stating that the order has been cancelled. When I called the customer service, I was told that since the watch went out of stock, they cancelled my whole order. Though the earring that ordered was still in stock, they didn't bother me to call and check about it. I was really annoyed as I thought I had a dad's day gift for my husband. Since I was shopping with Zales, I didn't plan any alternatives. I should have read the reviews of the store before buying.
Anyways, when I called customer service, the rep told me that while fulfilling the orders that were placed before me, the watch went out of stock :O. What a competent web ordering process! Can't they have their own inventory details? When I was telling all these to the rep, she got irritated and confused and said "thanks for calling Zales" and hung up the phone on me. Can you believe the customer service I got? Even after reading this if you decide to shop with them, then have an alternative.
