'Tis the season of shopping. While working 45 hour weeks, babying flu stricken kids, and wedding planning, ive had no time for shopping. So online I go with credit in hand. First stop Wilsons Leather.com.

Overall their website is very easy to navigate.

*The pages load quickly, each product has details and images so you get a good idea of what you're purchasing if you've never entered a Wilsons Leather store. These are very important while buying online, you don't want to pay shipping and handling to get your merchandise home and find it isn't at all what you thought it would be.

*The site is broken down into 6 categories:

Women, Men, Handbags, Accessories, Shop by Style, & Gifts. Each main category is then broken down into subcategories so it takes no time to find exactly what you're looking for-be it a jacket, wallet or clearance item.

*The page layout gives you precise descriptions of exactly what is where and with one click you have a broad range of products to chose from.

*You also have the option of using their search bar to find merchandise, but I didn't have any problem finding that perfect gift. The site is extremely user friendly.

*There is a clearance section on the sites map, which has great deals-everyone should check it out before placing an order.

*Product availability is a big problem this time of year, so be forewarned if you do any shopping online you probably have encountered this and know it isn't the online stores fault, its just the amount of business they are doing on a daily basis. A lot of popular items are sold out, but if you come back at a later date, I have found it doesn't take them too long to restock.

*The footer contains links to track orders, job opportunities, customer care, information about their store, store locators and more.

*Shipping is minimal, depending on how quickly you want your order delivered. I chose the standard method of shipping, which is by far the least expensive way to go, and although I was told by email confirmation that my order would be delivered via Fed Ex in 6 weeks I received my order in only 2 business days. Now that is service.

However you do have the option of express shipping at higher prices-I now don't see a reason for it knowing their service is prompt.

*Anything you buy at their online store can be returned at any Wilsons Leather store across the US. Or you have the option of returning via shipping-they will send you a packing invoice with a return shipping label if that is the route you would rather take. Both options make returns less of a hassle.


My Experience!

*The site is so user friendly I was able to find the perfect Christmas gift, place it in my shopping cart, confirm my billing & shipping information all in less than 20 minutes. And I was a first time customer.

Just for the sake of comparison, if I were to have purchased this item at the mall, I would have spent 20 minutes trying to find parking, 10 minutes trying to get to the store from the front entrance, and at least 30 minutes trying to locate the merchandise then checkout. So the extra dollars I spent in shipping in handling well than made up for the inconvenience of shopping in the mall-I saved both time and sanity.

Overall, I highly recommend this online store and will use it again and again for future purchases.
