The Vitamin Shoppe at www.vitaminshoppe.com is a great place to get vitamins, supplements and chemical-free or organic beauty products. I first became aware of this website while shopping for difficult-to-find items on Amazon.com. They support The Vitamin Shoppe and sell their items. Rather than pay for items seperately or shop through Amazon, I decided to go ahead and buy straight from their website.

One order, I had my mom make one because she buys an expensive brand called "Garden of Life". I searched my "popular" vitamin stores online and found the best deal for her expensive probiotics, mushroom blends and some B vitamins all at Vitamin Shoppe for under $56. Other stores, or in a walk-in supplement store, the items may have cost over $70 or more...so I found her a deal! I also googled "Vitamin Shoppe coupon codes" and found a free shipping code, so she got her first shipping for free.

So how fast did they ship? It took about 1.5 weeks to arrive to my mother's place and it was packaged well and everything was in there. I was amazed at the deal she had gotten from that website.

There was one time, I had ordered through from the Vitamin Shoppe through Amazon.com (in 2007). I ordered Glutamine Powder only because it was the largest amount in powder form that I could find and at the BEST price. The vitamin was actually the store brand (Vitamin Shoppe). I got 12 ounces of powder for $16.99 plus $5 shipping. If I would've thought about it, I could've ordered straight from their website and possibly have googled a free shipping coupon code. It was a great deal anyway. The EQUIVALENT amount at other stores is over $30! And I found the "Vitamin Shoppe" brand name to be quite good without cheap fillers in it.

Based on these two experiences (one straight from their website, and the other through Amazon), I would definitely order more from them. In fact, I'm thinking of making an online order with them right now. I had tried my mom's Vitamin Shoppe Brand B-12 vitamins and they were the best B-12's I have ever tried (perked me up and gave me energy) unlike other brands I buy. I am going to go order myself a bottle. The price is just about right as well.

The online site is easy to shop by brand, search term, type and so on. They sell a huge variety of items and even have organic makeup that I find difficult to fine anywhere else. They have a huge array of products. They also have pictures of the products, which helps. They offer free shipping on orders over $99. You can also search for the physical store under their "store locator" link at the bottom of the page. I find none are near me, so I do have to make online orders. Plus I don't like visiting stores only to find out they are out of stock, or have my toddler running around like crazy. Online shopping seems so much easier for me. You can also sign up for their awards card and receive points every time you shop and a certificate for future purchases after you reach a certain amount of points (see their website for more information). But I will say I do not see anywhere to actually sign up for this online.
