Beware!!!

Make sure you are correctly charged and if credited, double-check the amounts.  I returned 80% of my order due to poor quality and faulty sizing.  Shipping was 10% of order + some fictitious fee of $19.00.  Currently disputing the charges with CC.  Credit issued was $20.00 short.  Also disputing with CC.  This experience with Spiegel cost me approx $80 ($40 for shipping and $40 for disputed additional charges). 

Orders take longer to process and ship, when compared to other retailers I shop.  This one took 2 weeks to receive.

If you are not a polyester fan, do not waist your money at Spiegel.  Items described as Poly/Silk/Cashmere consist mainly of polyester.  Company does not disclose fabric content, even over the phone. 

Sizes are all over the place.  I ordered several item of the same size, of which, some came very snug, others – I was swimming in.  You will exchange / return, which will bring your total way above what you originally anticipated….

No surprise this retailer does not have a physical location in any but one state.

My experience with Spiegel.com has NOT been a good one, and I can't seem to end it! A bathing suit and matching gauchos were ordered at the same time. The suit took a while to arrive, and the pants were on back order, I'm just now told they've shipped (almost 2 months later). The size of the swimsuit was unbelievable (a woman's size that had cups in it that could fit 2 giant watermelons!!)and the suit's color was just ugly compared to the online pictures. I had to return it! Now I'm awaiting arrival of the pants that I no longer have a bating suit to match. I opted to exchange the suit for a different one, and now see on my order summary online that the top of the tankini just shipped, but the bottom is no longer an item, so that part of the order was cancelled. So why am I getting a bathing suit top with no bottom??? I would have appreciated a call, now I'm going to have to send it back and pay the shipping- even though it's not my fault??!! I will NEVER order from Spiegel.com again

My mom loves Spiegel and always orders something from the catalog or on-line. Since her birthday was coming up I decided to buy her the skirt and a shirt that she wanted so bad. It was very easy to pick out what I needed to buy, and ordering it was easy too. But the shirt came first and it took a while for the skirt to arrive. They took off money when they said they would. So there wasn't any problems. The only thing that I didn't like was that the skirt and the top came separately.

I am going on a vacation so I had to order a swimsuit, flip flops and a cover up. I was shopping around the internet and came upon Spiegel. Now, I read their reviews on here and decided that I would shop somewhere else instead. (Please see my review on Lands End) After receiving my merchandise from them, I figured I would take a chance with Spiegel. After all, if it was wrong, or my order didn't come in time, I already had the swimsuit I needed. So, I placed an order. The prices were good and the products looked good on their website as well. I can honestly say, I haven't had too many problems. The swimsuit I ordered that they said was in stock actually wasn't. When I called to cancel the back order, they said they would but never did. It still remains in stock on their website and on backorder for me. Otherwise, my shoes and cover up came within a week. All in all, because it wasn't a time sensitive order, I was satisfied.

I ordered a small fur vest. When it came it looked like an extra large and didn't even have tags, it dose not even have a cleaning care tag. It seems like the size is way bigger and The vest was also nothing like it is pictured. It is tacky and cheap looking and dose not even appear to have the same coloring on it as seen in the picture on the website. When I tried it on it was supper bulky and long. I looked like a bear. BEWARE OF ORDERING FROM THIS SELLER!!!

Placed order in March for 4 bridesmaid dresses for June wedding. I was told before placing order ALL 4 dresses were in stock. Received 3 dresses within a week then received a card saying that 1 dress was on backorder until June 10th. Wedding is June 11th. Shipping all dresses back and will purchase dresses elsewhere. Will NEVER do business with them again. CAUTION WHEN ORDERING. This is not the Spiegel that our mothers purchased from. . . This one is a disgrace.

THE WORST!

I ordered three items from Speigel.com. They were supposed to ship in 7-10 days. About 2 weeks after I placed my order online I got a postcard in the mail saying everything had been backordered and wouldn't ship until 10/28. Fine. Then, two weeks later I get another postcard saying one of my items is sold out. Two weeks later, another postcard with the same message about another one of my items. Finally...2 months after I originally placed the order I get the last postcard. Guess what? My final item was out of stock. But they were so nice not to charge my credit card.

I wrote emails and didn't get responses for days. I called and talked to apathetic customer service reps. It was the worst experience I've ever had with a retailer.

I don't understand how an on-line store can possible be so inept. It takes work to mess up orders this bad. If I can offer advise to those even considering such a feat, don't order from Spiegel unless you have an entire bottle of migraine relief medicine by your side.

I ordered 4 medium Tees together, and they shipped to me separately on two packs at different date. When I received it, those are extremely larger than what they described. I then requested for exchange. It was fine for me to pay the shipping fee. BUT since they shipped to me separately, and they required me to pay TWICE shipping fees, that is ridiculous!!! I called many times and told them that was not my fault!!, why I need to pay shipping fee TWICE?? And they promised me that not charge me for the second return. Today, I check my credit card and they DID charge me shipping fees again. I am sick of talking to this SPIEGEL again and again. I am feeling that I was cheated!! Also, believe me, the quality of their apparels really SUCK. I'm not super regret to pay that "much" to buy those bad quality tees.

The towels arrived and have a scroll design on them. They look like they are fairly well made, however, these towels are not plush. They are rather thin -- not too thin -- but on the thinner side.

They are luxurious and attractive -- and the modal fabric is as soft as silk.

I highly discourage anyone from buying a bathing suit from Spiegel unless you order 6-8 months in advance. I thought I was doing myself a favor by ordering swimwear months in advance by placing my order in February. It is now the 2nd week in June & I just rcvd. my 3rd notice that my delivery has been postponed, yet again. And you know what that means? That my bathing suit which was ordered 4 months ago will not be here for my vacation. Everytime I have called customer service they have done nothing but given me bad information & run me circles. I do not recommend this site to anyone unless you have extreme patience and don't mind getting your shipments until 6 months after you've ordered.

I actually work for Spiegel at the customer service department and am one of the people who inform people of the invalid 831 discount code.

This discount code was never issued from spiegel and is a fake code that some websites are making up.

Whenever we find a website advertising the 831 discount code we send them an email asking them to remove the code.

Dont blame Spiegel for that fault of websites advertising false codes. If you want true codes then read your e-mails or check the mail that comes with the catalogs, or even check out spiegel.com for true information.

We have a lot of people tell us that they receive their fake codes from their catalogs, well they dont, they receive them from bogus websites that have no right to be giving out codes that dont exist. Spiegel will honor any valid discount code aslong as it follows the terms and condiditions of the small print

I have had a unsatisfactory shopping experience with Spiegel. I attempted to purchase only 2 items on line, and they were out of stock in my size on both items. I also called the company to verify the accuracy of the information, and the guy I spoke with told me that not only were the items out of stock, but that he had no idea if they would ever be on backorder. I am very unhappy with my shopping experience with Spiegel, and will be very reluctant in the future to pursue them with my patronage.

I attempted to purchase several items from Spiegel online. Every single item (5) was either on back order (not available until December 19) or completely unavailable. I then attempted to call and after holding for over an hour and a half, I still received the "thank you for your patience but keep holding" recording. I finally hung up.

The service at Spiegel is so bad, I wasn't even able to spend my money with them. No merchandise and no reps to help. I'm throwing my Spiegel credit card away. The message is: don't fall in love with anything they hold out for sale - It's most likely not available.
