I too was a satisfied shopnbc customer for many years. In fact my very first purchase with them was for a used $2000 Bedat watch that I still have and love. I made many purchases from them until one day, I decided to buy a relative a Christmas/Birthday gift from their electronics hour. A cheap (around $170) digital camera that had "fun" features. Needless to say it was defective upon the first attempt to use it (after about two minutes, the camera would lose power and the rechargeable battery wouldn't hold a charge longer than that). I was put on hold many times, customer service refused a return (over 30 days from PURCHASE date because purchased as gift and never checked to see if it was working before giving), and I had many, many, hours of long distance phone calls and aggravation to return it through the warranty (a horror story I don't have enough space to mention). To make a long story short, I received a replacement that worked almost as bad as the one that never worked from the start (after a lot of time and more money spent returning it to the warranty company). The camera was a complete piece of junk not worth more than $40. It was used for about 15 minutes in total and never used again(that is, the replacement one that was sent). Shopnbc's customer service is EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL, probably the worst I have ever encountered (and I am a shopaholic). Buyer beware of their electronics!
Many of their jewelry items do use I1 diamonds, which are far below the quality I like to buy...and should cost considerably less than their VS or SI counterparts. If you still decide to shop here (let's face it, occasionally you see an item you can't resist despite the warnings or prior distant nightmares with the company) be sure you use a very good credit card--because there is a chance shopnbc will try to keep your money and send you a defective product or one that is "lost in the mail." I think if someone in charge at shopnbc doesn't do something about their terrible customer service and some substandard products soon, they will be no longer.
P.S. I also had a terrible experience just before the camera incident when a bracelet I ordered arrived with a large stone missing. I immediately called customer service. It was a limited item so I asked if they could hold a replacement for my return, and send me the replacement(after all they sent me an item with a major defect). They refused. (I didn't even ask them to pay the return shipping). I had to reorder one (at now a higher price) and pay to return the original (which should NEVER have been sent out without a major stone). Still I continued to order from them...until the camera incident.
But I feel very sorry for anyone who has ordered a very large item or an electronics item and had a problem. That is the worst experience ever. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANY ELECTRONICS PRODUCT FROM THEM AGAIN.
