Rugs USA phone service was poor. Whenever I called customer service instead of being put on hold with a message that they are busy with other customers the line just rings and then kicks you back out to the original message center to choose the customer service button again to go through the no answer response again!
The website tracking was very good and promptly updated. When I finally spoke to someone they were very good and informative.
I had to cancel my order because the rug I chose was on backorder and I needed it ASAP.

Everything went fine. The only comment I would make is that there did not appear to be a way to track my purchase in terms of when it was shipped/to be delivered. Also on the initial ordering "specialinstructions" I stated the delivery address would not be open to receive deliveries between certain dates. The item was delivered anyway between these dates. Fortunately someone was here to receive the item. Someone needs to read and inforce special instructins when a customer requests them. Other than this, great job.

Prices were good but the delivery timing is not good. I ordered a runner from Nov. 18th and haven't heard from them since.
I just sent an email to their customer service dept. around Dec. 29th or 30th (expecting that the latest is 3-5 weeks for my delivery so I didn't contact them earlier), got an email reply pretty quickly however it turns out the item I ordered is on bank order. But why did I have to contact them to ask? And had I not, they wouldn't have known to contact the vendor to check on status of people's pending orders? This is the part that surprised me. Part of having a good business relationship is to be on top of your orders and the customer's purchases. So, I have to say I am a tad disappointed. AND I still have to wait 2-3 more weeks now before I can get my runner.
This totally messed me up for my Holiday parties I just had.

I was told I would receive the product in 1-2 weeks. If the product was on back-order, I was to receive an e-mail within 24-48 hours of my order. After 2 weeks and no delivery I called Rugs USA. The product was on back order and they state they didn't know and this is why I received no notification. Product has still not been delivered, but I have been charged.

original order was placed on 11.23.03 company lost the order even though I had the confirmation #. They placede th4e order again 13 day later. Order web site states orders are shipped fed-ex . The rug I ordered $500.00 was advised that it had shipped on the 23rd day UPS, reminded them my tracking was for fed-ex. I contacted them several times. They stated the web site should have changed the arrival time from 5-7 working day due to the holiday, and also due to the holiday is "why my order wasn't entered correct.
Requested to speak with management, my calls were not returned. Advised the coustomer service agent that I would contract AMEX and dispute the charge and to cancell my order. I was advised it now was in route ground UPS from Georgia?24 days later, delays for holidays? Manager never returned my call.

I have no complaint with service from Rugs USA, however, I was disappointed in the rug. I had been searching for a rug to go in a very bright room painted with primary colors. The colors in the rug are no where near as bright as they appeared to be...they are more muted. However, I intend to keep it....too much trouble/costly to return it.

Bad experience. Web site says rugs will arrive in 2-3 weeks. Don't hold your breath. I ordered a rug over a month ago. My credit card was charged two weeks ago. After 5 phone calls to the terrible and completely unknowledgeable customer service department, I was told that my rug had been shipped, but they couldn't provide the tracking number. The customer service department of Rugsusa has NO order tracking system. Rugsusa doesn't fill/ship your order; they have to call another company to find out the status of your order. You cannot track your order on the web site. You will not receive any notification (email or otherwise) that the rug has been shipped. I was told several times that someone would call me back with the tracking number. No one has called yet.
UPDATE: When I called back for the tracking number today, I was told that the rug was on backorder and had not been shipped. So why was my credit card charged? I asked for a refund. Let's just hope that I can get my money back. By the way... Rugsusa is supposed to notify you within 48 hours if an item is backordered. Another "F". |

I orderred an area rug 3.5 weeks ago, yet have not received. I e-mailed 3 times, made phone calls after 3 weeks someone returned my email to inform that the order will arrive in 4 weeks. I am very disppointed with this merchant. I was planning to make more purchases for my new home, but I am not going to even visit this website. Basically, it is delaying all my home decoration plans for the hollidays.

The rugs were perfect and arrived much more quickly than anticipated. The site was easy to search. The only problem would be that the colors are much darker on the net than in real life. Having located the rug and color I wanted at a retail store, I knew what to expect and was not dissapointed; however, it would be great if you could get the colors closer to reality on the net. I purchased a rug on 11/10/03, and didn't know until after the order was placed on how long it would take to get here,..it then did say it would be 4 to 6 weeks. I inquired about this via e-mail along with a request of a 10% discount beacuse of taking a survey, and the response was that my rug was backordered and wouldn't be to rugs usa until the end of December, for me to contact them at that time and they could probably give me a better time of when to expect delivery, and about the discount, they said i already had received a 5% discount.

I ordered a runner and rug pads for the runner. Runner took 2 weeks longer than I was first told and I had to follow up twice b/c no ammended shipping dates were given after the first delay. It ended up being 3 weeks past their initial delivery date. The website does not mention that the runner is unfinished on both ends. It wasn't until I recv'd it and then called did they tell me this 'litle' bit of information. Nowhere on the website states they are unfinished.
Also, two sets rug pads were supposed to be 2 x 12 feet. Packaging they come in state 2' x 12'. Turns out they end up being 2' 4" x 12' and that I get to be the one to cut these myself to correct the problem as all of the pads of this dimension have the same problem. I ordered 3 sets of pads; two of this size and another of 2' x 8'; the 2x8 was exactly the correct size. Although RUGSUSA does not make these runners, I was told that this 'happens sometimes and is normal'. 'Normal'? Even the package states 2' x 12'!! My measuring tape says 28"!! Although the pad, Tiger Grip, is of wonderful quality, someone over there at Tiger Grip has no idea of how to measure width. Now I've got 24 feet of pads to cut by hand. RUGSUSA needs to ensure their suppliers are giving them what they are asking.
Phone customer service is polite but only adequate as they offered no other incentive to correct the problem other than an apology.

ordered a 6 ft round rug on 11/9...rec'd wrong rug (wrong pattern, wrong size)on 11/21..called on 11/22, was supposed to receive a call tag #...rec'd a return author. #, not a call tag ...called again on 11/26, was told an error had been made and someone would call to straighten it out...it is 11/30 and haven't rec'd anything...I still have the wrong rug sitting here and I'm sure the correct one STILL hasn't been shipped...
