The AC unit I ordered arrived damaged and I was not at home to sign for the packages, so the UPS driver simply left them in my yard. I contacted the Customer Service Dept. at QualityMatters.com and they began the return/replacement proceedure. Within a week my old and damaged AC unit was picked up by UPS and a new one was delivered. Both the first and the second unit had minor damage. This is no fault of QualityMatters.com. The manufacturers of the AC unit did not package their product with sufficient materials to keep it protected during shipment, especially when shipping via UPS. The second unit I received was in almost perfect condition, so I accepted it and it is currently in the process of being installed. I would like to give praise to the Customer Service Dept. of QualityMatters.com. All I did was send off an email and within a week I had a replacement unit. Overall this was a good experience.

The plastic mounting brackets on the left side of the unit were broken and I had to repair them with J-Weld. There was no apparent damage on the outside of the unit or on the shipping container. The unit works fine but the repair work was time consuming due to disassembly and reassembly plus drying time of the J-Weld.

Product was as advertised and priced as quoted but I did have a concern when opening the box and finding no serial number on the product id plate, just a paper sticker on the case seperate from the factory tag. Also no warantee registration form included. Made me wonder if it is a re-manufactured unit. Otherwise it works as I expected.

A tracking number was provided so I knew exactly when my order would arrive. I rent a room in the basement and it has been wet since I moved in. Now the relative humidy is kept around 50-60. The unit is very quiet. The washable filter is very easy to clean. The drainage tank is also very easy to pull out and put it back.
