Since I don't have a chemical analysis lab in my basement, vitamins are a commodity. I can't really tell if one is better quality than another. The all state they follow GMP (good manufacturing practices) standards and past that I have not come across any studies of the relative quality of vitamins. So I can only shop on price and service. On both counts Puritan Pride does great!

I order two items from them. The first is ULTRA VITA MAN which I bought as a replacement for GNC's MegaMan. The formulas are 95% identical. I've been taking it for years and find I really do feel and perform better when I'm on this formula. A 45 day supply at GNC (90 tablets) was running me $30. A 50 day supply of ULTRA VITA MAN from Puritan runs me about $7 - $8 depending on what the promotion of the day is (buy one get two free or 70% off).

The other supplement I take is Red Yeast Rice. My Doctor put me on it a couple of years ago for cholesterol. It seems to work as when I get lazy and stopped taking it my cholesterol spiked to 240. Staying on it, I'm 199.

Shipping is pretty quick being one or two days via UPS ground(from order). I understand they ship from Long Island and that is how long it takes to get to me in Maryland. Those on the left coast may have a longer wait. Both times I ordered from them they shipped the same day (I ordered early in the day). So your delivery time is likely to be the ground shipping time from Long Island, NY to your shipping address. Worse case scenario I would think would be the UPS shipping time plus one day.

One last note, be sure you are getting a good promotion when you buy. On my last order I got 70% off and free shipping (on orders over $25). The other regular promotion is buy one get two free. I don't know if anyone ever buys anything off the site at the regular price, but make sure are are not the first.
