I installed a pair of ink cartridges that I had bought from Omnipro. When I opened the black cartridge package, I noticed black ink smudged on the cartridge. I figured during the filling process, the handler might have gotten ink on his/her hands and some got on the cartridge. That was the first time I had seen that on a cartridge I had just bought. Should have been a warning to me.
When I installed the cartridges, all I would get was blank paper. I took the cartridges out, and cleaned them, noticing the black one had dirty, ink stained nozzles. It came off, though, so I reinstalled but to no avail. I returned the cartridges for replacements.
The replacements came and looked clean. When I ran the alignment, the black ink wasn't showing up. When I printed a black copy, the printer didn't recognize there was a cartridge in the printer. Took them out, cleaned the nozzles, the contacts, and the bottom of the cartridge case. There was a lot of ink on the bottom of the case. It took a long time to clean it properly and, of course, was very messy. Reinstalled, and the printer started acting funny. I uninstalled the driver, the reinstalled it. My printer is broke. I can't swear it was the cartridges. I can say my printer was working until I put the cartridges in that I got from Omnipro. You can get ink cartridges from many stores, so for safety sake, I would steer clear of this place!
I must add that customer service was quick to respond and very helpful.
