Buyer Beware!
I was a customer of JTV since they were ACN and purchased many items most of them were of poor quality, broken and sent back.
Taking a chance because it looked beautiful on TV I made a large purchase ($3,600.00) of a Designer Spessartite Garnet Ring that was advertised and shown as an untreated stone.
I took the ring to have it sized at my jeweler. When I got it back a large internal flaw was showing across the bottom of the stone. It is a 6 carat stone so it was very obvious. The flaw was not obvious when I took it to have it sized. The stone is not cracked. I took it to two gemologist and it is their opinion that the internal flaw was filled with a laser and an epoxy resin to hide the flaw which is a deceptive practice and not acceptable in the trade.
I spoke with customer service reps at JTV on about 8 occasions. I was told many thing but here are a few: to send it back BUT THEY DID NOT GUARANTEE THEY WOULD REFUND MY MONEY. It was the jewelers fault. I was told they might be able to fix, no guarantee. It was my fault.
Finally, I asked to exchange it for another ring that looked exactly the same and was told since it was a designer ring it had a different item number and they would not do and exchange because it was a different item. (neat trick on their part). They gave me no options but to keep the flawed ring as they would not stand up to their guarantee and with their poor service I was not sure I would ever get the ring back.
I was lied to by a customer service rep name Bill, yelled at by his supervisor named Van and told it was my fault.
I would never buy anything from this scam company again. It was an expensive lesson to learn.
