I bought my first HP in a computer store in 1995 it still runs fine, I passed it on to my children for simple games. I ordered my 2nd HP online in 2000, I did have some questions & live help was easy to navigate. I recall placing my order on a Monday night & receiving my computer Wednesday morning. It was my first time ordering a computer online & they far exceeded my expectations.

December 1 2005 I decided it was time to upgrade to a faster computer, went online to the HP site again but was disappointed the build dates were so far behind. On 12/1 the build date wasn't until 12/21. I suppose the holiday rush could be a factor but still...I much prefer to pick & choose my components, fine tune the computer for what I need.

12/19 I bought an 'already built' HP online & received it 12/22. You really can't beat the delivery time but, this is a big BUT- somewhere along the line HP really jacked up their shipping & handling prices. $99 to ship a computer regular, non-express delivery seems steep.

I love ya HP, I've had great luck with your computers but the next time your s/h comes up sky high, its bye bye. Lowering the product cost & making it up under shipping & handling isn't what I've come to expect doing business with HP over the last decade. Keep it real & you'll keep this customer.
