My husband used to travel internationally for work, and every so often, when the stints got too long, I would fly overseas to visit him. On such long overseas journeys, you get to meet and talk to some interesting characters. One of the girls on the flight from Chicago to Shanghai introduced me to the ~H2O+ company.

Company Background
~H2O+ is a Chicago-based skincare company that focuses on water based, oil free skincare products. This means that many of the products contain sea minerals, which may be beneficial to skin. Their formula is water + sea-derived ingredients + technology = healthy skin.

They have locations in 5 or 6 states in the U.S., and 19 international countries. In addition to sole ~H2O+ outlets, their products are sold in some Nordstrom and Ulta stores, on the HSN, and via the internet. Sometimes a limited selection of ~H2O+ bath products can be found at TJ Maxx, but their freshness is dubious.

Intrigued by the product demonstrated to me by the airplane passenger (Face Oasis™ Hydrating Gel), when I got home I searched out ~H2O+. Unfortunately, I discovered they had no stores in the southeastern US, not even in the shopping mecca that is Atlanta. Fortunately, I found their great website. This colorful website is fast loading. The top bar lists categories of products available, such as face, body care, hair care, bath & shower, gift guide, special offers, what’s new, and skincare advisor. If you hold your mouse over the category title, submenus of products appear. You can either click on the category or subcategory. Obviously the subcategory provides more specific results.

There are also convenient located icons for adding your email address to their database, accessing your shopping cart, checking out, logging into your account, and registering an account.

Since I was new to the brand, I clicked on the Skincare Advisor category to see what products would work best for me. It asked me a series of questions about my skin type, preferences, and goals, then it produced a list of the most suitable ~H2O+ products. You can save these to your “Wish list” for easier access at a later date.

Frequently, there is a bonus offer, such as free shipping with orders over a certain amount, or a certain percentage off your total purchase over a certain amount. Somehow, whenever I receive the promotional emails, I just don’t need to buy anything. However, when I do want to buy something from this website, I will search the internet for ~H2O+ coupon codes. Last time, I found one that gave me free shipping for orders over $50. I entered the code, and voila! The order totaled up without shipping costs. Additionally, if you spend over $300 in one year, you will be entitled to 15% off future purchases during that year.

They accept all major credit cards as payment. (including Discover and American Express, which not all companies accept). You don’t have to worry about your information being stolen, because the website is approved as secure by VeriSign.

My experiences
I have ordered from them twice. Both times, the order was processed accurately. After placing my order, I immediately received an email confirmation with an order number. I could log back in to my account to see the processing and shipping status of my order. The first time, it took about a week to arrive. The second time, it took only 2 days. Both times I used the base shipping. Everything was in the package as expected, and I was billed correctly on my credit card.

Buy again?
Based on my positive experiences with this website, I would most definitely swim in ~H2O+’s ocean again.
