The ordering and receiving was fantastic. I am a stay at home mom now and doing some redecorating in my home. The bar was exactly what I was looking for. The product itself has a few flaws and imperfections, but i love it too much to return and wait for another. The brass around the top is not secure and the sides of the wood appear to have some damage ( maybe in shipping) otherwise everything is fine. Thank you

I purchased a chandelier on 9/18/04, which was confirmed and charged to my credit card to my credit card on that date. The item should have arrived in 2 to 3 weeks, 4 weeks at most, according to their on-line statement. On 10/14/04, almost 4 weeks after the order, I e-mailed an inquiry and received a reply saying they were checking and would send a status update at the beginning of the next week. On 10/21/04, having received no status update, I e-mailed another inquiry. Since there was no reply to that, I sent another inquiry on 10/26/04. On 10/28/04, I was informed that there had been a shortage and that I should receive it 5 to 7 days after they receive it, which is who knows when.

I found the process extremely simple and living in a remote area this form of purchasing is extremely important. Online purchasing allows me to find quality products without driving long distances, plus the purchase is delivered directly bto my home.

I ordered the product around the first of September. Still hasn't arrived. I emailed a follow-up about 2 weeks ago and was told that items was to be shipped around 10/27. My big challenge is that they charged my credit card in September for a product that I still haven't rec'd. I think they should have charged me when the product was shipped. Seems entirely too long to wait for the product. More later after the item arrives. Thanks for checking on this. That helps to create good business.

I have bought a number of things - with various success. The last two items, lamps and a glasstop table were not so successful, mainly because if I had seen the merchandise in the store, I would not have purchased them. The finish and workmanship were not the quality I expected for the price. The delivery for the glasstop table was handled very poorly and when I called the company, they were quite rude. I will have second thoughts about buying certain things on the Web from now on.

After months of searching locally for a corner shelf for my guest room I discovered Furniture on the Web. A brief search for corner shelves gave me literally hundreds of choices. I was hesitant to order something I couldn't see with my own eyes but wasn't disappointed. My collection of Raggedy Ann dolls is now "out of the closet" and keeping "watchful eyes" over the room. Upon receipt, it was accurate, in excellent condition (the glass was well packaged), and the delivery was timely. i received a courtesy email that provided the status of the order, shipping date, and expected date of receipt. This was one of the worst experiences I have had ordering on the web. After my credit card being charged immediately, my order that was supposed to be shipped in 48 hours, arrived 6 weeks later, and was the wrong item. It took 3 emails and 4 phone calls to get a live person who could help me. After picking up the wrong item, it took another 5 1/2 weeks to receive the correct item, which arrived broken, and no one returned phone calls after the broken item was received. I WOULD NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

not a good experience....
first, they charged my credit card right away, then send me and email 2 weeks later to tell me that my item is on backorder.
they said that it should arrive "shortly" but when i asked them to define "shortly", they said 3-4 more weeks.
Then, when this 3-4 weeks had passed, i contacted them again to ask for an update. they responded telling me that my item was still backordered for another month!
i said cancel my order immediately, but because they have already charged my credit card...i have to dispute this with the credit card company now!

Item arrived and wasn't like the one shown in the picture and the wood was splitting. I have been trying to contact them and I can't get anyone to return my calls. Not satisfied with this purchase at all and would not recommend ordering from them.

I placed an order with a salesperson then two days later received email informing me the product model had been discontinued and I should choose another. After waiting 1 week with no further contact I had still not received the merchandise. I called to cancel my order since delivery would not be possible before christmas. I was told "The order can not be canceled after it has been entered into the system." I told them not to ship as I would refuse delivery and would not pay. I received email from the sales department stating I would be charged a 30% restocking fee and shipping on merchandise never shipped. Through the credit card I used I have managed to stop payment and only stopped receiving email from the company after threatening to take legal action if they persisted.

I had a pleasant experience buying a brass piano lamp online. The web site was people-friendly, steering me to the product easily, showing me pictures of the product so that I was comfortable with each product. Size was labeled on each product sop that I made sure I had a lamp that would fit. The product was delivered in a timely manner in a safe and secure package.

This is an excellent place to shop. I ordered a queen anne sofa table in a dark cherry finish. Using their website to find this was easy and informative, good pictures, good descriptions. The price was really economical ($280), and I was delighted when I received it...it was so beautiful. It looks like a $500 piece of furniture.

They informed me immediately that it would be backordered and I received the shipment in a reasonable amount of time.

I would definitely shop this site again. A great place to buy really nice furniture at great prices.

I was very pleased with how fast the furniture was delivered, but it would have been nice to know what the delivery was going to be. Since it was timely though, it didn't matter. I also thought that the item matched the picture on line very well and I am very satisfied. The only thing is sometimes I have to keep tightening the keys on the side for the mirror to stay in the right position

They show original price for the desk of $899, and selling it for $499. The manufacture’s retail price is $299. I found the same desk on the web for $150. Of course I called back to cancel. They told me that the order was not shipped, and if they cancel I have to pay 30% restocking fee. How can they charge restocking fee if the desk never got out of stock anyways!!!!

I asked for return procedures. They told me that they can not give me this information until I receive my item. All I wanted to do is avoid calling and waiting again!!!

Watch out - the Newport Bay Pacific Oak Entertainment Set / Bridge advertised with a normal price in excess of $1,200 and a discounted price of over $600 is a Bush product available from Bush (and others) for about $400.

AVOID THIS COMPANY!! I ordered chairs last night and needed to cancel the order less than 24 hours later. The company refused to do so despite admitting they had not received the chairs or shipped them. They plan to ship the chairs even though I told them I did not want them any more, and they said I could get a credit on my credit card only after I ship them back (at my own cost). Do not use this company!

While their website didn't inspire a lot of confidence (why different prices for the same goods? why does it look like it was made to imitate the Amazon.com format?), we ordered a piece of mission furniture (coffee table) anyway.
The table arrived quickly, and was easy to assemble. It was not damaged in shipping, and came out of the box in perfect condition. To my delight, it is a beautiful, sturdy piece of quality furniture. It is not all hardwood, but a mixture of hardwood and hardwood veneers - the same as most good furniture that doesn't cost a fortune.
I am very satisfied and will use Furniture on the Web again.

I am so pleased with the Lamps on the Web and its sister sites and their search capabilities. The selection is vast, great quality, and the prices are better than comparable retail items. Each item has a good description, measurements, and all you need to know. You can order on-line, or call the 800 number, and get a real person to answer your questions. When the boxes with my 8 chairs arrived, I thought the worst because the boxes were really banged around and messed up by handling from FEDEX. But when I open the boxes, to my surprise inside was another box with my chairs in them and it was not touched. I order a computer desk looked really nice at $185.00. I place an order the next day my credit card was charged. After 10 days the item arrived ... to my surprise it manufactured by OSullivan ... OSullivan has good stuff, but right away I knew 'Furniture On The Web' was way over priced, I checked the manufactures SKU# on the web for the same item and most places listed it for $65.00. So to sum it up $185 + shipping $27 = $212.00 my cost. I called to return the item unopened got a RMA# for the return but it cost me $75 UPS shipping. Cut your fingers off if you plan on purchasing anything from "Furniture On The Web"

I was very satisfied with my recent purchase,from the ease of ordering to getting the merchandise. After placing my order, it was immediately confirmed by email. Another email instructed me that the product was shipped,and for my protection to check my order when it came for damages and directed me on what to do if there were any. The merchandise was received in less time than I was told it would be and with no damages. I was very pleased with the quality of the product and was not surprised by it looking different than the picture when I ordered. I would not hesitate to buy again.

When the dining table and chairs arrived, they did not look like they did on the net. Instead of a regular maple color, they were a terrible reddish golden color. The cost to ship it back would have been $352 so now I am stuck trying to resell the set as I would never use it in my home. I would never never shop here again.
