I ordered some Throlo socks that were on sale and the Footsmart website said that they were 'in stock'. The next day, I received an email stating that they were backordered and that I 'should' have them within 21 days. One of my pet peeves is ordering something that is said to be in stock and then isn't; it borders on misrepresentation of the products. In fairness to them, their website did reflect that the socks were not in stock after that.
The other problem that I had with them is that they did not respond to 2 emails from me in regards to the order status - that is bad. Today, I called them and canceled the order and won't be doing business with them again. |

I tried tracking my order, but this feature did not work on your web site. My e-mail inquiries about where my order was were not answered.
The product description and the image are deceptive - they misrepresent the actual item. I am not forced to return it, because it's totally not what I ordered in terms of color. I will never order from you again because of your substandard customer service and poorly designed web site. You scam people like me.

Don't buy from these people. They sell poor quality products at inflated prices and their shipping and handling is outrageous. They also do not honor their return policy. They sent me defective products (had holes in them) and they not only refused to exchange them they refused to return my money.

I live in Canada, and ordered some of the no-slip socks from Foot Smart for my mother, who's in a care home. I've often been leary of internet shopping, and Foot Smart affirmed that feeling in a big way. First, the product didn't look like the picture, and second, they required very special laundering, which wasn't included in the information. Obviously, a care home laundry isn't going to 'air dry' those socks.
When I went to return them, I eventually got $27.44 back OUT OF $68.50. They charged me for return shipping (even though I'd paid $14 to ship the things back to them), and more return shipping & handling charges. NICE RETURN FOR THEM -- THEY CAN'T LOSE!!!!! IF YOU LIVE IN CANADA, DON'T ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE. IN THE USA, well I guess it's a bit better, but not a whole lot. NEVER AGAIN FOR ME. |

I've purchased from FootSmart twice (silly me). First of all, I could have walked to FootSmart (wherever it is) much quicker than the items were shipped. I had a simple order and it took several weeks to arrive. Maybe I'm spoiled from excellent customer service and shipping from other etailers, but it seems FootSmart is excessively slow. When I contacted them about the status of my order, I was sent some form thing that basically said it will get here when it does.
The second time, the order I received was incorrect. I contacted them and actually got a replacement. Unfortunately the item was useless but one of those things you don't know til you try it. I am hesitant to order from them again. I would suggest you don't if you want your order any time soon. Given the nature of their merchandise, it's probably better to shop local and get on-site advice from pros. |

Worst shipping in the business, as far as I'm concerned. They use a no-name company to get their products from their Memphis warehouse to your destination. For me, that was a 5-hour trip, by car, to Atlanta!! 9 days and counting...plus no way to track (nor can Footsmart, so says very rude 800# rep.) Never again!

I purchased a pair of shoes and a pair of slippers, the prices were a little on the high side but pretty much what you would expect for quality products. The shipping charges were ridiculously high $14.99 and the service was incredibly slow, it took 2 weeks for the order to arrive. I returned the shoes for an exchange, sending them back cost me $5.95, which means they are charging a lot of money for "handling". In any case it took 2 weeks for them to receive and process the return and another 2 weeks until I received my shoes. The shoes were a nice quality but I can get the same shoes at Zappos.com for the same price with free shipping both ways and purchase, return and reshipment takes 4 or 5 days. Why would anyone shop at Footsmart, they are still back in the dark ages doing "mail order" not online sales.

Buyer beware! Note the .85 "order assurance" fee that you MUST select if you want to make sure you get what you pay for. It is an easy selection to overlook but if you do and the item is damaged in shipment to you (UPS AND FedEx), then Footsmart will not replace the item. I am shocked that a supposedly reputable company will not replace an item damaged before you even receive it unless YOU pay extra for insurance. I verified with their customer service rep that this is in fact their policy, though. I don't care how small the cost. This selection is easily overlooked on the order screen. Thankfully I caught it and it made me decide to buy elsewhere. I worried that I would be overlooking something else if I were to buy from this company. Needless to say..I'll shop elsewhere for my products.

We ordered men's clogs and used THEIR US/European shoe conversion chart, which was incorrect. The clogs were too small - every other conversion chart we found online says we should have ordered a size larger. We told them we wouldn't pay to ship them back since their conversion chart was incorrect. We were told that we were wrong, that their chart was correct, and they wouldn't pay to ship them back. We are disputing the charge with our credit card company.
Footsmart.com is BAD NEWS - order elsewhere (ZAPPOS.com) if you can. Zappos.com has a GREAT return policy - free shipping both ways. My husband has since ordered similar clogs from zappos. |

I have bad experience with FootSmart.
I purchased 2 shoes and returned both. I used smart label and put the items into one box. They charged $10.95/PER ITEM as a handling fee. This is not all. I also purchased a sale item and exchanged to the same item but larger size, they charged normal price for the exchanged item plus $10.95 handling fee. They charged to my credit card without asking a permission. |

I'm giving up on this store. Their sizing is inaccurate. They have the slowest shipping of any store I've ever dealt with. Recently I sent for a variety of items from 4 online stores (one in Canada) and all the other items came days ago, The FootSmart items have still not arrived.
As far as I'm concerned, they're fired. |

Shopping at FootSmart is easy unless you have a problem. After calling their customer service about an order not received, I was told they would over night it. When it did not come several days later, I called again. This rep. howled laughing about overnighting a replacement order, the rep and said I cant believe someone told you that..Transferred to a supervisor, and she told me I could not cancel my order until I received it. .STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY ORDER!

I ordered two pair of shoes and paid for next day delivery. I explained in detail that the shoes must be received the next day since I was leaving. The next day when the shoes were not received, I called Footsmart, explained my concerns and was told the shoes were shipped 2-3 day. I cancelled the order. Four days later I had not received the shoes, but my credit card was billed. I called customer service. They assured me they had contacted FedEx, cancelled the order and the shoes were being returned to them. As soon as they received the shoes, I would be refunded. It has now been 11 days. I have received no shoes and no refund. The customer serviced manager was rude and refused to issue a credit although he could confirm from FedEx tracking that the shoes were indeed being returned. BEWARE!!

The FootSmart Online Store was easy to navigate, had a great variety of shoes to offer, and they were in styles I could wear with a variety of outfits from casual to dressy. The best part of shopping online with FootSmart was the clear and complete description of each shoe. Since I wear orthotics, it was necessary for me to know what kind of shoe I could wear them in--and I can wear them in just about every shoe they sell.
I ordered black, leather sneaker-type oxfords and they came within a week, exactly as I ordered. They were very comfortable and fit well with my orthotics. If I had needed, there was an easy-to-use return form. I was very pleased with the quality of the shoe since the price is more than I used to pay for shoes. These will last and are worth the investment. The shoes I used to buy were never all that good for my feet and I'm paying the price for that in podiatry bills now. Thank you, FootSmart, for making durable, good-looking, foot-healthy shoes. |
