I found your site through e-pinions.com. I must say that you made the process very easy.

When my TV picture suddenly went black after I heard a small "pop" I did not realize it was the lamp that needed to be replaced. After a call for warranty service, I learned that the lamp is a "consumer replaceable" part and that I would have to order the part and replace it myself. Getting the lamp out of the TV was relatively easy with the instructions from the manual and then I went to search online for the part. I found a variety of sites offering the lamp and quickly found out that the manufacturer's website was going to charge me $200 for the bulb...Not what I had in mind!

After clicking on a few sites, I saw that the bulb could be purchased with or without the housing and came in two different sizes for the same TV. I figured I could take the actual bulb out of the housing, so that wasn't a problem, but I did not understand the difference between the old large bulbs and the new smaller bulbs. I happened to click on e-pinions and found Discount Merchant's site.

I found it extremely useful that your site thoroughly described (with pictures!) the difference (smaller is better!) as well as the replacement procedure. I am happy I found you...I am looking forward to easily replacing this lamp (with your idiot-proof instructions) and having my TV back.
