Buying a new HD TV via the Internet can be frightening. Prior to ordering from Buydig, I compared quite a few sites and their services and pricing. I ordered from another site first but cancelled because they tried to sell "upgrades" and ultimately told me about the $180.00 handling charge. Shipping was "FREE" and "ADDED CHARGES" were never mentioned nor found on the site. I almost bit the bullet and paid the higher price at a local store but then I found Buydig.
I read the reviews from multiple merchant rating companies and noted that most of the negative comments had more to do with manufacturer defects and shipping damage. When I read the manufacturer's installation booklet, it stated clearly that if there are any operational problems with the set, do NOT contact the merchant but, instead, contact the manufacturer. Further, the e-mails, shipping documents, and when you talk to a representative by phone all implore the buyer to unpack and inspect the item closely - and the driver making the delivery will wait. They also tell you to refuse the delivery should the inspection reveal damage. To me, that is fair warning that there are things outside any merchant's control that can and do happen. The fact that they inform you of these possibilities and even "how to" inspect for partially hidden damage like small screen cracks is indicative of their professionalism and customer service.
There were complaints about customer service in the reviews as well. My experiences in dealing with Buydig company representatives via telephone were all positive. While I fully expected surprises and "bumps" for which I watched; there were none.
Buydig's price was one of the lowest with shipping included. The day after ordering, I received an e-mail because there was a problem with my credit card (I entered the wrong CID code) which I corrected. The TV was shipped that same day without a word about added costs or an attempt to sell me something else (and I did contact them by phone - so they had ample opportunity for "hard sell").
Manna Freight represented Buydig in transit and delivered the TV to perfection. The driver waited and helped as my wife inspected for damage. I opted for "curbside" delivery but the driver still brought the TV up the steep driveway to the rear of the house. All of my concerns and fears at ordering "high ticket" items via the Internet have disappeared thanks to this experience.
I plan to purchase two or three additional electronic devices such as a digital camera and I have no reservations about contacting Buydig first. I have confidence that additional purchases would be handled with the same integrity and professionalism as this purchase. I highly recommend Buydig due to their integrity, ethical treatment, delivery, and pricing (in that order). To me, the price is important but the confidence and satisfaction of dealing with a company I can trust is paramount.
