Shopped on-line for GutterStuff (wonderful product), and needed a lot to cover my house. Had it shipped to my local store, got there on-time and the store manager was very helpful and quick to find the boxes and help me put them in the car. Over-estimated assuming some waste and hard to measure my gutters given that my house is very strange shaped. But I figured that I could bring it back to the store for refund if I didn't use it. MY MISTAKE!!!! I COULD BRING IT BACK TO THE STORE BUT THEY HAD TO GIVE ME STORE CREDIT FOR UNOPENED PACKAGES!!! So now I have over $200 in store credit. The store manager's hands were tied, so I tried customer service on-line, they said that their policy is shown on-line. I told them that every other place that let's you order and send-to-store (Walmart, Lowe's, Circuit City, Sears, etc.) gives you a refund, why should I expect them to be different? They do not state this unique fact on their order page to highlight this difference.
DO NOT ORDER FROM ACEHARDWARE.COM unless you are absolutely positive that you will not return the product. If you go to the ace and buy the same item (even if it needs to be ordered) they will give you a refund. DOES THIS MAKE SENSE TO YOU?
