I did all my holiday shopping this year on line. I saw abes of Maine on the news for best price. I went on their website and bought one thing just to make sure they are for real and no games since they were so cheap. Believe it or not 3 days later I got my camera. These guys are real no games like other venders.

I tried to purchase a camera on this web site and after 5 days my order had not been still processed.
I tried to call three times and waited up to 20 minutes just listening on the phone to nice songs, but was not able to speak with someone. Ok, it was Xmas time, so you can expect a little bit of delay, but you also can expect shops get prepared for the event perhaps working more hours or hiring more people. Eventually I sent an email and got an answer in a couple of days in which they said my order could not be processed because I am in international customer and my billing address was abroad. Good to know, just I would have preferred to discover this upon my purchasing ...you know, something like that nice pop up windows saying" Oops you can't buy with us because we do not accept international credit card".

After paying extra for expedited shipping, I still did not receive it in a timely  manner.  Customer service is non-existent. Using their phone tree, I clicked through to "customer service" and received a message with their business hours.  My call was placed DURING those business hours.  The line then went dead.  I received an e-mail from a salesperson who wanted me to upgrade my order. I responded several times indicating that I wanted my order to be sent out immediately with NO additional items.  I never heard back. I called that salesperson's extension and left two messages.  Never heard back. I finally called and left a message on his VM to cancel the order.  I'm sure this is not the end of it. I'll have to refuse delivery, appeal the charge on my credit card, etc., etc.  Do not do business with this retailer!

I just have a nice experience wit ABES of MAINE ( Located in Edison, New Jersey).  I bought on line a SONY High Definition camcorder and the next day I received a courteous phone call from a salesman named Phil. He wants to confirm my purchase and advise me for additional items for the camcorder. I add a UV protector. - Thereafter, I called the costumer Service asking for the USPS tracking number. Exactly two days later... What a Lighting delivery! The mail man was at my door with a fresh and sealed box from SONY!! - Thank you so much Phil, ( extension 219 ) I will recommend your store to every friend and neighbor. I am so satisfied!

TERRIBLE!  Do not buy from this company!  We ordered an LCD from them, and within one day, they were calling me to get me to "upgrade" my shipping and wall-mount, trying to get me to add hundreds of dollars to my order.  The saleman was aggressive and rude.  They also charged my account for the price immediately, but failed to deliver on the television.  After almost three weeks, they contacted us again to say that they were not able to get us the television at the advertised price, and that they would have to charge us more.  Three weeks...they had our money, and we still did not have a TV.  I demanded a refund, but it took another week before the money was refunded.  I was about one day away from contacting the BBB.  Stay away from this company!

Would be Very Careful ordering. Sales uses push tactic to sell. you get transferred a few times three four times and on hold long periods of time. They push warranty on you and claim it is from the manufacturer in cases it is not. Order don't show on their site if you order by phone (hard to beleive). An overall uneasy feeling.

Claim they sell manufacturer's warranty but it is from a company (Repairtech) that services a number of manufacturers and when you call them you also get a runaround. You have to really push for semi -average service. My experience was with ext: 267 Mary/272 Larry/Ted/and two other transfers from customer service.

Hi, I had ordered a Panasonic DMC KZ28K digital camera through them, obiviously attraced becasue of low prices. But it turned out to be a big mistake since they never send me the camera in the first case, when I called them, oooo my god !! Just kept on transferring me from one person to the other and upto 56 min. on Hold saying that this is a Sales case, complaints dept. case etc etc. Finally, when I threatened to take Legala ction, they refunded my money. So, guys WATCH OUT, DONT GET INTO THERE TRAP !!! THESE GUYS THOUGH HAVE A STOR IN NJ BUT R STILL FRAUDS !!!

My brother just bought a fifty inch Pioneer plasma TV from Abe's. The salesman repeatedly refered to the satisfaction policy. Log story short the tv failed after one hour of use and Abe's will do nothing.(small print on the satisfaction policy is it doesn't cover flat screens and a lot of other stuff. The sales guy lied!) The two people he's spoken to at Abe's since said you're "SOL".
