Abe's sent me a USED CAMERA!
Full review
I ordered a Sony a200 slr camera. The next day I got the upgrade & warranty speech and declined everything. My camera was shipped the next day. Three days later I received the camera. Anxious to try it out, I went to charge the battery and there was no power cord for the charger. I called the customer service number and was told they would ship a power cord out, which they did. I charged the battery and followed the directions in the manual. The first was to set the date and time. When I went to the screen, lo and behold, the date and time were already set! I was a little suspicious but I wanted to try it out. I put the lens on a proceeded to take about 20 pictures. I wanted to download the pictures to my computer for further scrutiny and discovered that the camera had
480 actuations. They sent me a used or returned camera!! I asked, when I purchased the camera if it was refurbished or gray market and they told that is was a brand new, USA model. When I asked the salesman why there was 480 actuations on the camera he said "they must have accidentally sent you a returned camera." I got an RMA# and shipped the camera back and am waiting for a replacement. I've been tracking the package and UPS sent me an exception notice that Abe's requested a later delivery date. While researching the exception I found that Abe's closed on tuesday and won't reopen until friday. I called on monday to get the RMA# and wasn't told anything about them being closed during the week. Shopping with this store is like gambling, sometimes you hit the jackpot but 99 times out 100 you lose!
