Customer service and delivery difficulties ruined this transaction. I placed an order for kitchen appliances totaling over $5500.00. Delivery was scheduled to take place in 2 weeks. The delivery was a nightmare, didn't come on the 1st or 2nd scheduled dates. The customer service manager made promises she didn't follow up on.
The appliances, Bosch oven and cooktop, Jenn-aire cabinet depth refrigerator, Broan vent hood and Food King disposal were all priced well, similar to the local suppliers. The selection appeared good online, but when it came to a problem with the oven (was damaged when AJM received it) they didn't have an alternative option that was available quickly. Worse, they didn't call to even say that the oven wouldn't be delivered or when a replacement would be sent.
The delivery company AJM uses only comes to the area on Monday or Thursday, not a problem. On the 3rd delivery attempt they assured me they wouldn't deliver before 7 am and would call 30 minutes ahead of time so that the person I had to hire to meet them would have time to get there. They didn't call, didn't wait and left when no one answered the door. My guy showed up at 7:04, not waiting for the call, and had missed the delivery.
When the items (sans oven) were finally delivered, instead of the white gloves treatment promised, they simply removed the appliances from the boxes but didn't take away the trash.
Never before have I had such difficulty getting appliances for a kitchen remodel. The small amount of money that my client saved on sales tax doesn't begin to cover the frustration and added expense of the delays. I will never suggest that a client order from them again. They rate a negative on every customer service aspect of the order.
