I was notified by GE that my dishwasher had been recalled. They offered free repair or a credit towards a new model.
Having time because it wasn't broken I began to research various options on the web. On every single search AJ Madison popped up as having the best selection and the best price including the "scratch and dent" options down the street.
Simultaneously they offered a $50 rebate on a single GE product and Ebillme offered another $25 rebate for first time use. This was perfect because it covered the cost of shipping.
I called because I needed the name of a salesman, he was absolutely lovely and very polite on the phone and walked me through all the necessary steps.
I'm in Florida, the dishwasher showed up within two weeks, and the actual shipping projection was longer than that. There are "no steps" in the entrance to our homes and the shipping company brought the item into the house and opened the box for me so I could check the contents for damage, it was perfect and exactly what I ordered.
Once installed I fell in love with this appliance and I wrote a review reflecting this opinion.
The only unfinished business is to wait and see if the rebates show up and in the projected time frame?
There was a problem with the eBillme rebate because I bought this product on the first day it was offered and the forms were in PDF format and had to be mailed and mine was lost. This has since been corrected and can be filled out online. I contacted their customer support several times to no avail.
I then contacted AJ MAdison and they immediately corrected this for me, eBillme called before I even had the response back from AJ Madison. I then asked how to follow up on their rebate and they provided me the day the check was cut, they stand behind everything on their website and they are very pleasant and efficient about it, HELLO customer service :).
