I am a 63 yr old man with a severe spinal cord injury. I wanted a newkitchenette for my Manhattan NY apt and a firm that would provide inside delivery, given my injury.
AJMadison ran a website side promising inside delivery as part of a "special." I placed the order in late October, 2008 and it arrived very badly damaged, if the unit had been dropped from a high height.
Also, the delivery man refused to deliver it into my apt as advertized. He dropped it off in the bldg lobby, had doorman sign, and left. The doorman then noticed the broken packaging, ran outside to stop the driver, who ignored his shouts and drove away.
It took MONTHS and lawsuit threats to get the unit repaired -- and AJMadison even demanded that I myself pay to have the unit inspected. (They claimed they'd reimburse me, but to date there is no record that thet ever did!)
       Then they demanded I pay for a followup visit! Only when I refused and threatened a lawsuit did they eventually repair (and pay for!) making the unit right.
         My SUGGESTION: My opinion is to stay away from this firm. I am suprised they are in business in all honesty. Buyers BEWARE! They seem to think that if 10%-20% complain, they still win. Prepare for hassles galore.....Dr Charles Hedbring
