Here's my story...Ordered Sony 46" XBR4. After numerous calls being told backordered (site claimed "in Stock"), than another bunch of calls being told item was shipped (though could not provide tracking number), after pleading for true status of item we were finally told the item was in fact never shipped. At that point we cancelled order. Very fortunetly, they never did charge our debit card.

Before making such a significant financial purchase, I research the item and the store. This taught me a lesson. Always read lots of feedback, check with the BBB online(Better Business Bureau), and to be sure that the store I am purchasing from is in fact an authorized dealer. I did finally check with the BBB online and found out that this store operates under several different names.

123 Buy Direct is not an authorized Sony dealer anyway, so I am thankful at this point I did not receive this item. When making such a huge purchase online, I suggest going to the manufacturer web site and look up authorized dealers than choose one of those.

I love to save tax and shipping charges, so I tend to order online. Love Amazon...always stand behind everything with no hassles...keep you updated as to what is happening with item. Good Luck...
