I really did not need to shop with this store 'cause nobody in my house care about flowers, we don't even have a vase. (plus a 3 year old baby lives here, she wants to mess up with flowers, so we really don't want decorate our house with flowers at least at this time). But I have got gift certificates for the store, so I wanted to use it, then for the first time, I had visited the web site last week.

There were not only flowers, the store also had gift baskets with foods (fruits, cheese, cookies, cakes, chocolates, pop corns..), and I found the Godiva Truffles that I love. it was $33 for 18 pieces, and the store says it is special price, I thought it was cheaper than buying at Godiva store too. the store info said that since it was specially priced item, they do not allow coupons on that item, (though I had $10 coupon besides $25 gift card, if I could use all of the coupon & gift card, it could have covered the price of the item.). there were some other food items like cookies, pop corns or even cakes that was cheaper than Godiva chocolates, but I don't like sweets made in US (too sweet and I am sorry, they're terrible), so I didn't think I wanted anything else, so I decided to purchase the Godiva Truffle box $33.00, after shipping was added, total became $43.95, and -$25(gift card) and my total to pay was $18.95, it's cheap if I could think that I bought Godiva Truffle box only at $18.95. And The day I ordered was Tuesday (Dec 18th), I was lucky, there were still 2 days for the store offer us regular shipping schedule and charge, this week is the last week of the Christmas week which is next week, and I ordered on Tuesday, and the store let me choose Thursday (Dec 20) or Friday(21 st) at regular delivery charge, after those dates, shipping cost was like nearly or over $20.(Dec 22,23 is weekend and 24 is Christmas eve). SO I was lucky, and chose Thursday for delivery.

It arrived on Thursday as promised and as ordered. Great! (I ordered Tuesday afternoon like 1-2pm, and received the Chocolates on Thursday around noon, it was even less than 48 hours from the order time). I didn't check where it came from though.. (when I ordered, I was asked for my zip code for availability in my area, it said so, so maybe they contacted local Godiva store in my area then the local store might have prepared to ship). $18.95 for less than 48 hour delivery and Godiva Truffles $33 value is probably good deal.

But I just learned that $33 is not special price, GODIVA store also sell the very same Truffle box at $33.00. but no sales Tax at 1-800 flowers, and 1-800-flowers participates many reward programs, so of course I visited and shopped via those reward sites, so I can expect some reward points later. so maybe bit better than buying at Godiva store (online/offline). this store is great when you need gifts in hurry.
