Harvey operated the Aerial Lift Bridge in Duluth for twenty years. I didn't know him personally, but after years of runs across the canal for supplies, I felt like I did. He was always jovial, and during the winter months, always wearing that floppy hat - sometimes flipped up, sometimes pulled low - as he waved to ships passing through the canal and to cranky drivers onshore who got "bridged." We made this hat in honor of Harvey. 100% cotton canvas outer material is waxed to ward off rain, sleet and snow. The lining is warm polyester fleece.
